The thing is, there are market who may not be able to "clean up" their catalogue - meaning low in sales volume.
And thus, to compensate for that "loss", they can advertise /post their items online and hope that some visitors would take notice of the items and buy them! someone else profit advent to the shop owner's wallet. Kaching! Don't you love that sound.
